Sunday, October 4, 2020 on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Padre Carmine Cucinelli welcomed Father Antonio Gentili as the new Rector for the Basilica of the Volto Santo in Manoppello. Father Gentili was born in Naples in 1976, the youngest of 6 children. In 2007, he began his postulate in L'Aquila followed by his novitiate in Camerino. His first simple vows were taken in 2009 - obedience, poverty, and chastity. Father Gentili was in Spoleto for three years, followed by Assisi to finish his studies for philosophy and theology. On May 11, 2014 while in Assisi , he gave his solemn profession and in 2017 received the diaconate ministry.

Let us all prayerfully welcome Father Antonio Gentili as the new Rector, may our Lord bless him abundantly.
