Sulmona, Italy; In The Life of Padre Domenico da Cese.

In the Cathedral of Sulmona, Italy on October 11, 1931; Padre Domenico da Cese was to be ordained to the priesthood in the Capuchin order by the Bishop Nicola Iezzoni. The date October 11th, is also known as the feast of the Divine Motherhood of Mary.

Holy card in remembrance of Padre Domenico's first Mass.

Pictured below is the interior of the Cathedral, May 2023.

Inside of the Sacristy, notice the prayer card of Padre Domenico that I gave to the sacristan, below the crucifix. How fitting that an image of Padre Domenico should return to where it all began.

On the left side of the church, you can see an altar dedicated to Saint Pio of Pietrelcina. Directly across from this altar you will see that it is totally blank. Could Padre Pio be awaiting his friend Padre Domenico da Cese to someday be raised to the altars of the church? After all, why would Padre Pio himself refer pilgrims to Padre Domenico stating, "He is just like me.".

Keep praying that this humble Capuchin priest known at Padre Domenico da Cese will someday be known to the world as "Saint Padre Domenico da Cese". Below, second paragraph; the translation from Latin to English is as follows: "Having examined the matter, I am pleased to inform your Excellency on the part of the Holy See that nothing stands in the way of the Cause of Beatification and Canonization of the same Servant of God, observing the, "Standards to be observed in the Inquiries made by the Bishops in the Causes of Saints", published on February 7, 1983 by the same Congregation.". This letter was dated March 3, 2015.
